Kenya confirmed four new cases of Ebola Bundibugyo virus disease on Saturday, bringing the national total to seven infections.

Health workers and Kenya Red Cross personnel prepared protective gear at Lang'ata Cemetery in Nairobi as officials traced contacts linked to the country's first fatality. The latest patients include a close male relative of the initial patient and three medical personnel who treated him.

The Ministry of Health announced the new infections as containment measures intensified across Nairobi. A 65-year-old female relative had tested positive a day earlier after developing symptoms while in quarantine since October 6.

Medical facilities in Nairobi face heightened pressure as health workers account for a significant share of the active contacts under observation.

Health authorities continue contact tracing across the capital to contain community transmission.
